We didn’t really know where we were going when we set off for the mountains to look for a local waterfall. In fact, we were also a bit unprepared for the difficulty of the hike that we had to stop to open up some cacao pods for a refreshment. As we looked over towards the looming Balinese volcano, we couldn’t help but notice a red ember hue growing bigger at the base of it. It looked as if a fire was starting. Then a yellow color glowed on top of the red, and one by one the colors came out to grow into the most massive rainbow I have ever seen. From the distance, it looked as if it covered half of the mountain.
Bali has some of the most photogenic sceneries. Here are some panoramics I took in and around the island.
